do you think that there is any correlation between leg colour and feather colour?

is the chocolate cockeral slate legged? (id+/id+) and the wheaton pullets, white legged? ( Id/-)

then mating the (id+/id+) cockeral over the wheaton hens (Id/-) gives you chocolate coloured pullets with slate legs maybe you are on to something?

IMH & unlearned opinion, I don't think they look like chocolate or dunn, BUT

YOU HAVE A WINNER THERE.. especially with that lacing!

I like the sound of it. "Coco Laced Orps" Breed and cull for a few generations and you'll have some prize birds there.
