Chocolate Orpington Project

I saw a picture of a chocolate orpington somewhere just the other day! I will try and find it for you...it was GORGEOUS! Looked really chocolate.

That is a good one...I would love to follow a project like that

I recently went to a chicken show and they had a Black Australorp roo that I swear had an awlful lot of brown. They weren't real friendly there so there was no one I could talk to. You would have thought they'd of had some one at the door to greet newbies like me. I say that so anyone involved in shows here gets the hint. You'd have also thought they'd have a set up and have talks on what's going on in the chicken world. What new things are out there what going on with breeds, feeds, diseases etc..etc.

I posted a link, then all these people started talking about chocolate orpingtons.

Hmm, so far my favor is Chocolate Cochins. There is no such things that I can find.

So come on guys. Take a vote.

Ok, I've pretty much made up my mind to work on the chocolate orpington bantams. If those go well, I *may* attempt a large fowl version. But for now, the bantams will be easier for me to work with.

Cochins would be easier. lol But it looks like I'm out voted.

Yeah. Bantams would certainly be easier. But I like LF.

My polish I am going to have to use will be bantam. So It will take me a while to get a true LF.

Oh well, I always like a challenge.

I thought about doing a chocolate line of silkies, but that would be even more difficult because I would have to deal with silkie vs. hard feathering genetics.
