There are serama breeders that have chocolate in Canada. The color is so mingled with other patterns that serama breeders often referr to it as cocopop.

no, we have dun choc, in NA we do not have the sexed link choc, gene over here. GB- and Europe are the only place the sexed link choc. We have Dun choc, witch breeds dun,black,and kahiki (Sp??) breeds like the blue andllsion (sp?) gene, as in 25%,50%25%

I would not jump to conclusions yet. There are alot of folks here with the bucks. And IF yo know someone who has them in the UK these folks will jump into a plane and fly over buy qwuarrentine, and then bring em in and quarentine again. Seeing the variety is in Banties, it may take quite sometime before anyone will be ready to release the gene to the public. We have Coronation Sussex that has recently been introduced. And other varieties as well. Who REALLY KNOWS what is here in the UsA

I actually have chocolate orpington bantams that I had purchased from the rob boyd line. These were imported "legally", and cost me a arm and a leg. These are beautiful birds and look great around the yard. My birds breed true so i don't have to worry about splits. My original birds were as unrelated as possible under the circumstances seeing at the time there were very few breeders who were open to selling adult birds in the UK. Its hard to tell from photos sometimes if there black or chocolate. When the sun hits them a certain way they look black to me.
