Regarding Chirpy Chicks: My understanding is that a private sale was made and subsequently those birds were imported. She had no hand in the process.

Like I said, he's done lots of this with other stock, but this is the first time with chickens. He has avenues in place already and merely chose and purchased the flocks to bring in. What a luxury! It seemed like a lifetime learning process when I was looking into all of it. I'm just drooling thinking of them all.

I am happy for any English Colors being brought in. Love the UK type. I read on English forum where Rob Boyd was selling his entire flocks getting out for a while. One Brit said you would probably have to take out a bank loan to get them. I looked at his auction on a site over there. He is a renowned breeder of Orps, LF and Bantam.
I heard about this fellow yesterday that imported. I am happy someone got some UK lavs.
Maybe some more folks can get some buffs and crele and GL in and soon maybe we will be flooded with the UK birds
