Chocolate Silkie trio hatching different colored chicks?

I
What color do the chicks look today?
Have they turned chocolate, or do you still have a mystery?

That's what I would expect too.
Took this picture yesterday when I took them out, in the sun I think I see chocolate but I'm still not confident, this isnt my first batch of chocolates but my first from my friend and usually the chocolates are obviously chocolate idk.. my friend said he thinks they might just be super dark chocolate for now since the parents are pretty dark but it was just speculation. this is the first batch of silkies I've had that I didn't have color variations, they are all the same. The ones that aren't super dark are LF Cochin

I don't know for sure either, but I hope you'll update as they grow. That way we can learn from your chicks, and the information will be available for other people who might be wondering in future.

We aren't sure what went wrong with my friends trio but nothing hatched chocolate from them. He scrapped that project. I ended up with blue and black. But it works out great for me because I have a chocolate rooster that I needed more black hens for. I posted a grown up pic of some of the girls in a reply to someone else(i just wanted to respond to you so you can see the update 😊). I have their eggs in the incubator right now... should be sexlink if everything works out!

Thanks for updating now!

I was still "watching" the thread, so I got an update anyway. But yes, quoting my post also tells it to send me an update.

:fl
I don't quite understand how this website works if you couldn't tell lol.
