Chocolate Turkey Hatching Eggs

If you can't find them locally definetly get poults. Turkey eggs are hard enough to hatch and Hertigate breeds are only about 80% before shipping.
And go for Porters poults. you will buy a doxen eggs for $50-60 or more and end up with 6 poults it you are luckily.

Have you ever hatched turkeys eggs? in my opinion for some reason we have never had any luck with them in the stryfoam insubators only the cabinets

I have never hatched any eggs, but I have a friend with a large commercial incubator that I should be able to use. I would love to get some poults, but I would not have room for 15 turkeys and I would have to pay for 7 poults in a breed that I would not want (since you cannot order more then 8 chocolates), so that is basically $80 wasted.

If I could get 15 that were all chocolates, I might consider it and cull them down to the best to breed, but I would not be able to raise more then 4, so I guess I am hopeful that if I got 6 eggs, that I might be able to hatch 3.

You might be able to sell the others--if you live near me order nari and Br and I'll buy them from you! Maybe try to find someone to split a shipment.

Eggs--I've not been able to hatch shipped turkey eggs; I can hatch my own BR eggs though.

Like I said, I only have Holland whites, but others on eBay are pre-selling chocolate turkey eggs for the 2013 season 6 eggs for $20.95 (I believe) plus $15. shipping . I get about 90-95% with a cabinet incubator. I would not expect more than 80% with shipped eggs, even though my experienced customers have reported as good a hatch and better than mine.
