Chocolate? What makes Chocolate?

Just wanted to share my latest chocolates here.
First, a nice chocolate Serama chick. I've been hatching several.

And a couple of my older Serama chicks, both pullets, a solid chocolate and a mottled Chocolate

And Drum Roll..............................................................
my latest project, a chocolate Araucana. Actually, just the beginning of my Chocolate Large Fowl Araucana project. This pullet is the first of, hopefully, more to come. She's even rumpless and tufted, better than some of my purebred Araucana's.

Hatched today and not quite fluffed up yet. This may be the very first one ever

Henk, may be the lighting, she's definitely chocolate.

Here is the Araucana project chick at a day old

Here is another photo of my Araucana cross chick, a pullet and the first of my chocolate large fowl project pen.

That mottled hen looks black.
She's definitely chocolate and producing chocolate chicks now. Her mother is a chocolate mottled hen that looks just like her. They're out of chocolate to black crosses so the chocolate is darker. My chocolate to chocolates are a little more like a dark milk chocolate color, almost as dark but not quite. I have a chocolate wheaten rooster now too. This has become my favorite color!

I also have some that I'm not sure whether they're chocolate or dun or some other combination of genes. I'll know more when I have chicks out of them.

Here are some recent Serama chicks from those that I wondered about.

Here is the rooster they're out of. Not sure of his color but he could be a chocolate carrier I guess. The hen was not chocolate.

The hen is a wild type color
