Hello!
I was outside free ranging my flock and eating a cookie, when my little hen Beanie ran up and snatched a hunk out of the cookie. It was chocolate peanut butter, and I am worried for her😟
Is there anything I can do to help get the chocolate out of her system? She didn't eat too much, since the cookies were small and she only took about an inch or so of one. Still, I really don't want to have hurt my little hen. Help?

Death depends on how much chocolate the chicken ate. To get the chocolate out, try holding the chicken upside down, and massaging the crop gently until the chicken regurgitates.
Don’t hold a chicken upside down, ever. It’s a bad plan. But besides that, that’s good advice.

I didn't mean upside down like vertical. I meant at a slight downward angle. Guess I should have said that instead.
Even a slight downward angle is bad. Just massaging the crop should work fine by its self. If chickens had muscles to keep their organs in place, it would be fine, but they don’t.
