(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My girlfriend and I are newer to raising chickens. She is completely new, and I have raised chicks in the past until pullet stage.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 hens, approximately 10 months old currently. We live on about a half acre lot, with 'pasture'. Grass with weeds, basically. We have them in a cattle panel hoop tractor that I move every week, at most.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Plymouth Barred Rock
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Them eggs. They are fun little t-rex animals to watch as well.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, camping, hiking, photography.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have one dog.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
