Chooks in new coop

hi I’ve moved 4 hens into a new coop. They spent the last 20 weeks in a large brooder, but inadequate with a low perch. My question is, they now have large perches 2 feet off floor with a ramp. They still sleep on the floor. Will they transition to perches, or keep to the floor? PS they use the new nesting boxes for laying.

Since they weren't in the habit of roosting before it sounds like, they might be slow to transition. If you want them on the roosts, go out once it's mostly dark and pick them up and put them on the roosts. Hopefully they'll begin to get the idea after a few days.

Definitely they will Roost when ready. No worries.
