Choose a quail egg to root for!

I like to number them so I can track them by the day I added them and/or add an A, B, C if you added more than one per day.

My bet is on the oval one and you can't change my mind.
All of the named eggs have already hatched there are a bunch more hatching in the next couple days. You can pick #38-#55 except for #41 and #42

I had a batch from Southwest Gamebirds and my two tux hens are popping out two every day so it was a little challenge to sort out how I'd run the incubator and determine the point when (any) eggs had gone bad. I figured I'd just keep it running and use the day# of the incubation period as the counter on the eggs that I add every day as a means to check the egg's age. The total day my incubation has been running - the # on the egg = the length the egg has been incubated. Most of the SWGB eggs hatched around day 18 & were in great shape but those from some of my hens are hit and miss. So, I need to have some mechanism to check each of my hens' eggs' ages. This has been a good thing because many that were past their mark were not fertilized or had started to dry up. I don't want an egg to explode in my working incubator. And just my luck, two of my tux eggs popped open today with healthy chicks. The incubator's on day 25 and these eggs were labeled that they were added on days 9 and 6.

I didn't expect to be incubating constantly, buuut, that looks like what's happening. So far the hatchlings (all 2 of them) appear to be vigorus.

Hatching is always magical and super egg-citing! :jumpy
Yes it is. I got some colors this hatch that I’m kinda excited about 3 of them look like my first roo the white one with black spots and I’ve been trying to hatch some more of him since I started hatching my eggs and haven’t got any but these ones look how he did as a baby so crossing my fingers.
