Choosing a coop design for 4 chickens

My husband and I are trying to choose a coop design for 4 hens. Is it important to be able to walk into the coop?
You guys said choosing. so I assume you guys are buying one. if guys plan to have a lot.. like 40 to 100 chicks and chickens.. the walk in coop will be advantageous.. but for like 30 or less. it's fine even if it is not walk in.

Thank you to all who responded to my question. I get it. The taller, more expensive coop it is.
Wise choice. There is always a chance you will regret building a low coop even with the best of designs. There is no chance you will regret building a walk in type coop even with the worst of designs.
4 birds will need minimally 4sqft each so 16 sqft total indoors. I suggest you add at least 4sqft for each additional bird you may add in the future. Chicken math is harder than quantum physics! :lau

I'm glad you have decided on a walk-in coop! A shed type building works very well, with added ventilation, and build bigger than you think you will need, for storage, comfort, and those additional birds that might 'follow you home' someday.
Your approximate location helps her, for recommendations about coop design. Florida is not like Minnesota!

I would suggest also thinking into the future when choosing coop design. Even if you are young and/or healthy now, and wouldn't mind a little bending, whether for coop or run access, don't forget that anything can happen. You can injure yourself tomorrow and be unable to bend easily anymore. Or you may need to transfer coop duties to somebody else who can't bend. You never know. Chickens are a long-term investment, so you need to plan for the long run, and that's unpredictable. Better be prepared, just in case, if at all possible (budget, space, etc.)
