Choosing a rooster, which is best for blue

I just got this SFH rooster.

If her mother and father were both splashes and all her chicks have been blue then she is also a splash.
Lavender is a whole different type of blue.
Love the egg color.

Looks can be deceiving.
Genetics not so much.
Splash father Xs splash mother = splash daughter
Splash dsughter Xs black rooster = blue chicks
Doesn't look lavender. Lavender is a very even shade.
She actually looks blue. Blue hens are very typically darker blue in head and neck area then rest of their body.
No big deal either way unless you are breeding with a BBS goal in mind.

You are right though, she probably is a splash, she just came out the lightest blue I ever had, same color as my LO and all the frizzled babies are the same color.

The man who gave me this rooster said he is really jumpy, (they did have alot of older roosters, that probably beat him up.) I always go into the yard very quiet, my hens are calm around me so he sees that too. The only bird that beats him up is my girl turkey.
