Christmas Fabrics Block of The Month Swap- August- CLOSED!!!

I have received both of my blocks this month - Lunachick and Nanakat both made Ohio Stars, but with different poinsettia fabrics. They look great together!!

I made a Sawtooth Square for both of my August swap partners. And I made a third one - for me

easy peasy to cut three out and piece them all at once. I think I'll make one for me each month, and that way I have a reminder of what I made for the swap too

This was the block that went out to Lunachick and Nanakat this month (and stayed home with me too!):

Confession time - I haven't finished up my blocks yet. I've been swamped with everything, including getting my kids going in school again. I promise they will go out soon though. I am so sorry for my lateness.

Lunachick - I got your block Monday and love it! Thank you so much!

I sent pms to both these folks asking them to post their progess on this thread and reminding them they had until the end of the month to get the august blocks mailed out...same applies to anyone else that has yet to finish/mail theirs.....SEW,SEW,SEW!!!!

Well I tried to do my 3 this afternoon. I can not believe how fast a 2 year old boy is LOL. My son at 2 was so laid back. Well I will have to wait till he goes home to finish these 3 blocks but they are going to get done this week.

Not to worry ladies, I just have to put the finishing touches to my blocks(rewash them, iron them and seal them in baggies so there is no smoke smell to them) I should have them in the mail by this week-end. I would have had them done and mailed Monday but a co-worker of mine was killed in a senseless accident over the week-end and I was a bit pre-occuppied with helping my fellow associates deal with her death. Some yutz was test driving a Dodge Challenger and broadsided her and her step dad at 100 miles an hour. Both were killed instantly but the yutz wound up with just some bruises and a sprained ankle.

Forgot to mention in my previous post that I picked up some really neat Christmas Fat Quarters yesterday and one of those Sidewinders at Hancock Fabrics. They had it on sale for $19.99, also picked up a pair of pinking shears at Wally World. Yesterday was running errand day around here.

Chuck you're gonna love the Sidewinder. I've used mine at least a half dozen times since I got it. It ranks right up with the rotary cutter for me.
