Christmas in October block Swap

On the applique, I haven't been much for hand work, the La Pass is changing that now, but even before that the only applique I had done that ever looked half way decent was hand work. I just did a bird sillohette so it was pretty simple and surprisingly fast to do.

I'm beginning to think I talk to much....lol every couple of icon pictures my paint silkie is back up....quiet around here..

Nah I like coming over and reading all the messages. It makes it a fun group. Just keep on chattering.

Kassaundra it looked plenty of good. Besides all your quilting looks pretty amazing to me.

There are many fun projects in this book and it might be worth getting. Just a heads up all of it is hand work and you might need to adjust some to do parts on the machine. I got this book years ago for my daughter and I and we both really enjoy it.

Amazon sells it and shows many of the pages and projects in the book including the small Daffodil bags shown.

My mug rug is done although I never found out preferences on color. Can I send a pic to fenrosie to make sure it's ok?

I survived my ordeal of no Internet!! I almost went to the library but of all things I remembered it is closed on fridays!!! Now let me tell you of a wonderful day I have had, our 6 quilt shops of North Ga are doing a shop hop and you go and get your passport stamped and enter into drawings and if you want you can purchase the shop hop quilt pattern. Each store has two blocks and each store offers its own finishing kit so if you get just the blocks it will add up to 36 dollars, it has the pattern and the material to make the two blocks and then for 17 dollars the store offers the finishing kit of all the fabric needed to finish the top so I'm am getting the blocks and I have decided to get the finishing kits each of the stores has to offer. Figured a great way to add to my stash!! but if you want you can just go and enter for the drawings and each store has a goodie bag so it's not all spending money but glad I have some extra cash so anyway there are a couple of stores that are kinda far so my DH and I are going to finish up my trip tomorrow morning. He says I'm so spoiled

then little does he know they have another one but going south instead in June and that one is called "color my world".
