How big of boxes er well, what's the size box you need?
You can cut down a box to make any size you need.
Soda boxes are good to use to cut down. And when you stuff around your item, it will make the box studier.
Just a thought.

Thanks everyone for the great tips! Hopefully someday I'll be brave enough to get this going........

Cheers!

They are GREAT! I'd buy one too, so let us know. Suggestion: add a piece of leather lacing for a tail -- would that make it more "mousey"?

Also, about the boxes: you used to be able to get Priority boxes and turn them inside out. But now they are printed on the inside so that doesn't work anymore. Guess they got wise to us penny-pinchers! When I was selling on Ebay, I used to go to Walmart early mornings, when they had stocked shelves but not yet taken the boxes away. I got tons of small boxes -- paint department (oddly enough) seemed to yield the best small, sturdy boxes. Might check a hardware store, too.

If anyone wants one, but doesn't need it before Christmas, I'd be glad to make some. I'm just not sure how many I could get finished this week and wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed.......

Those are absolutely adorable! I think you should make a few & try to sell them at craft shows. Myself, I always get tired of the same 'ol stuff & this is definately different. What are the faces made out of?

I think you should at least sell them for $10 each. A lot of time goes into it I can tell. They are so pretty!

Thanks!
The faces are made from teasel, a dried weed. Long ago they used to use teasel to raise the nap (knap?) on wool. I have to cut the pointy/sharp bits off with gloves on.
