Christmas turkey

Anyone have an idea on how to keep flock cool? Have Chocolate turkeys in Texas. Rgis heat is brutal. Have thwm in shade open xxlg wire dog carrier. These are 3 months ild. Not quite ready to go in land w adults. This is a temp home for them till then. Can they over heat. Have ice bottles am I being to protective. Just dont wana kill them.
 
I would say get day olds as soon as possible or if not then start hatching right now. It'll take a good 5-6 months before they're good eating size.

As long as they're in the shade and have plenty of water, they should be ok. Ice bottles are also good if it's very hot. You can even have a dirt or sand container in there so they can sit in it and cool down.

Just watch for signs of over heating, beaks open, panting, not moving a lot.
