My 4 week old chick still has a huge crop. It never goes down!
I posted about this when she was about 2 weeks old and everyone said it’s just full.
No...it’s huge. I have 5 other NN chicks the same age and none of them have a crop anywhere near this size.
It feels squishy and there’s no bad smell from her but lately she’s been regurgitating clear liquid.
She’s often wet on her neck.
I’ve been getting her to regurgitate by holding her upside down and squeezing it for a few seconds at a time.
Then I let her catch her breath and swallow.
But nothing seems to help!
She eats and is active, but not quite as active as the others.
I gave her cottage cheese with live cultures in it.
It actually went to a normal size only twice about two weeks ago.
Could this be a genetic malformed crop?
What do I do?
Will she always have this problem?
