They don't try to perch on the tops of dividers?

Supplemental lighting needs to be consistently timed for the same time each day.
Motion light is not going to do that...who know how long the lights are on with that set up.

No, they haven't perched on the dividers once. I was playing that by ear but I haven't seen a single turd in the nest boxes. Their roosts are a smidge higher so maybe that is why. They never wound up perching on the storage shelf either.

And yea that makes sense about the light. The cold has kinda killed it anyway. I leave for work around 4:30a and never see it on, and don't usually see it at night either. Regardless it barely works anyway lol.


A bit frustrated now, actually. My update said no new pecking but it's gotten worse than ever. Just started a new thread about it. Ungrateful animals, I'll tell ya.
