Chukar laying eggs at 8 weeks old??

Chukars generally do not start laying eggs until the following season... it is highly unlikely that it was a chukar egg, but then who knows?

so can you get egs before the following year from a chukar if it is provided artifical lighting?

I don't know... I haven't tried it. I suppose you could... if you wanted to pay the electric bill.

well I have to pay some form of an electric bill for my birds cause I have no windows in the barn. but I didnt wanna waste energy if they will not lay at all... plus I want to have the millies laying over winter.
