Chukars supposedly live only about 2 seasons in the wild.

How about Chukar longevity in captivity?

Particularly how long is advisable to keep hens for eggs, and does the fertility suffer as they age?

Hey mods, there is no chukar folks here, how about to create separate section for Partridge, or merge it with Quail?

Quail and Partridge have more common whit each other than Pheasant and Partridge.

As far as age - we have a lone male chukar that is four years old. He is the lone survivor of several we had. I'm not sure - it may be rare that they live this long. He lives in a ground pen (it's better to keep them off the ground) with our yellow golden pheasants. When we had several I hatched eggs out of them two seasons without any loss of fertility.
