Cinn Queen roo or early-developing pullet?

I have one that is only 3 weeks old now, but looks like the younger version of yours and we are pretty certain he is a roo. His feathers are coming in all creamy white and I noticed his comb is turning reddish as of yesterday.

He also looked like a she to us at the store or we would've steered clear, lol.

Cackle hatchery solves the mystery! Nancy, one of the owner/operators, wanted me to email her some pictures. After looking at them she confirmed that it's a cockerel. She said they would not have intentionally included a roo as the extra chick. I would have thought sexlinks would be foolproof to sex at hatching. But she says with the golden sexlinks, both the males and femals are white and tan. (So I guess it's a matter of degree?) Apparently there was one chick that looked enough like a pullet to get included in our order. Nancy suggested he might be good for chicken 'n' dumplings

Actually I'm not sure how that would work. I've never slaughtered anything before but I was planning to try raising a couple dozen meat birds eventually. But this rooster, the kids will probably get attached to him. Here's hoping the landlord doesn't mind all the cock-a-doodle-doo's!
