Cinnamon Ornamentals

Brian,,this is really frustrating,,,not knowing what I bought,,when the listing said 12 Cinnamons,,,,all the eggs except 1 looked similiar in size and color as my ornamentals here,,and the 1 oddball although the same shell color, was about a banty sized egg. Maybe it was just a bunch of leftovers,or maybe these are all sports of some color varieties,,,either way the ones unidentifiable won't be used to breed with here.

Maybe you got some new color that is popping up. That would be awesome. I would raise them and see what happens. I keep looking at the guy on eBay with the peaches and silver goldens for sale. Not sure though cause I just bought reeves eggs from him and one was broken. He didn't send any extras either. I sent him a message. Will see what happens before I decide.

I'm am not wise in the ways of Golden Pheasants, but to me all of those chicks look to be Ringneck color varieties. The two red ones look like the chicks I had out of a red ringneck a few years ago, the striped look similar to buff RNs, the dark one looks like a melanistic crossed with a reg. RN, and the white one... a white RN. Just my 1 1/2 cents

Rocket Up,,come to find out the listing was for Cinnamon Ringnecks,,not Cinnamon Ornamentals,,it was my screw up. But still,,14 eggs was sent,,,1 was marked "B" for Black Melanistic,,leaving 13 with the letter "C" on every one of them. Somehow these eggs was marked wrong,,and with 3-4 diffrent varieties combined in only a 12 egg order.I've never hatched Cinnamon Ornamentals before,so I have no idea as to their markings or color when they hatch. There are 2 or so that do resemble my Red Goldens that hatched a few days prior to this mixed group,,but at this point it will take 6 months or more to know what they are for sure.

Junglefowl,,glad you like them,,but to me they are like getting peacock eggs that are split to everything running loose in the barnyard,,except a male that is the same variety as the hen is,,they won't work with what I already have here,,maybe good on the grill come December is all.
