Cinnamon Queens from Cackle

I have had Cinnamon Queen's in the past. I don't know if they were from Cackle Hatchery or not. I bought them from an independent feed store in our area. They were outstanding. Hardy, consistant layers, and very friendly. My understanding is they are a hybrid. So if you breed a Cinnamon Queen hen, to a Cinnamon Queen rooster, you get a mutt, not a Cinnamon Queen. But I would have them again if I had the opportunity.

You have no idea how spoiled they are... music all day, sprouts, tomatoes and a super chicken fort knox to live in.

Beautiful girls! I feed barley sprouts becase I couldn’t get wheat to sprout. Music? Will have to look into that. What do yours prefer? Blues, swing, country, rock, classical?

I get my wheat seeds from Power Grow Systems, the 5 lb bag is not expensive.

My girls listen to a wide variety of music including folk music and all the ones you mentioned.

Does anyone have Cinnamon Queen chickens from Cackle hatchery? They sound amazing and are supposed to do well in hot areas. I live in the far SE corner of New Mexico so heat can be an issue. High egg production. Not broody. Friendly. Dual purpose. What was your experience with this cross-breed.

Did you get some?
