Citrus Trees

I have several citrus trees in my yard , grapefruit, lemon, orange , and an apricot tree. I would like to eventually free range my girls , are these fruits poisonous if the birds eat them?

Neither my sister nor I have never had problems with free ranging chickens with fruit trees....except the time a couple of chickens decided that roosting in the trees was more fun than in the coop....took a while to break them of it!

A lot of citrus is supposed to be not so good for chickens. I don't know why. I think you'd be OK as long as you didn't leave a lot of fruit or rotting fruit on the ground.
