Hello, I have 3 chicks about 8 weeks old. This one is bigger and more aggressive than the others, hates to be touched, could this be a rooster?
The second pic the one in question is in the back

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

The chick in the first picture is looking rooish. 8 week old pullets generally don't have that big and red of combs at that age.

Thank you much! And those pics are at least 2 weeks ago, the comb is much bigger now. The person I got him from is a 4-H girl, she is meeting me tomorrow to swap out . Thanks for replying.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I agree with Mountain Peeps. Your chick in the first picture is looking like a cockerel. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Yes, look like a developing roo to me. If he is aggressive now, he will be much worse when he grows. So yes, if you can swap him out, do so!. :)

UPDATE:
The Roo went back to his farm and there is a lady already interested in him. I got a new little girl ( I hope ) She seems to be coming around already and the other 2 older girls let her snuggle in tonight at bedtime. Pics to follow later. Thanks Everybody
