City vs. County Ordinances, which take precedence? Midway, Kentucky

The county zoning board/commission's attorney said today that the county's ordinance is vague, and because the city's is so specific, the city ordinance is the stricter of the two and takes precedence. We have asked for that in writing, and for the complaining party to be notified (honestly, I still expect some new loophole or issue to come up).

It buys us a little time to figure out where we will end up (was hoping to finish the school year). Hopefully it helps future chicken people. *trying to stay positive and believe that the small town/county government are actually trying to help*

I sure hope so. There's another gal on here that's having an awful time! She managed to get a front page article in her newspaper. That drummed up a lot of support and brought the obscure, vague, contradicting ordinances to to public.
