What are the ones with a yellow head and striped bodies? They are pretty!

Those appear to be the Sicilian Buttercups mentioned in the sig.

defenestration is correct. Those are Sicilian Buttercups. Made a rash decision when I purchased those. They aren't friendly at all, which is okay, but they don't tolerate confinement or cold very well. I live in western ny so they were really a poor choice. I couldn't resist, they are beautiful and I'm Sicilian, so... I have to come up with a plan for this winter though, I don't want to lose them.

HappyHazel - was your hamburg smaller than all the other birds growing up? Cause I have two hamburgs that are really small compared to all my layer breeds.
