The professor in college who introduced me to it opened the discussion by saying, "Imagine you're a leaf falling off a tree in a high alpine meadow. You land in a small stream and start floating away. Where do you go?" And then he cued up this piece. I've always seen that trip in my head when listening to it.

The Great Gate at Kiev was my "wedding march". I scored an arrangement for trumpets in the balcony on each side. -cool sounds.

I will die on the Hill of Hans Zimmer as a contemporary classical composer, even though he really isn't.

Love this. The pipe organ is intense. -got schooled in the "art" of playing by my kid. (I am a brass gal, personally, but can appreciate the organ)
