Clean Waterer solution?

Well, I guess I am the weird one, Believe me my birds and dogs etc get all the dirt they want I can take a picture of their buckets of water to prove it.lol But I have a hard time not cleaning everything every evening so they can start fresh which usually takes them all of less than 5 minutes to get them dirty But I also clean my coops every day. That is clean out the wet poop out of the shaving toss since I use deep litter I turn the bedding over. I use Oxine ah in my coops too spraying down the roosts then wiping off poop if any. I clean my coops better than my house.

I think it depends on where you are. I'm in North Carolina and our humidity gets so bad that it'll turn the water containers and pools slimy in a day.
I clean out the water containers and pans twice a day and empty their wading pools, clean and refill every other day. If I don't it'll take a lot more work to get them clean the next time I do it.
As far as the coop goes I clean the entire thing out every weekend and add lime powder in between cleanings. My coop is 400 Sq ft so it's enough to evenly distribute the doodoo for a week
We don't have kids though so I've got a lot of extra time to go overboard

I've thought about it at times especially when I have youngins.

Oh, and I am retired from working outside of my home so I have all kinds of time to clean and enjoy my animals..

I don't have that problem but if there's ever a predator or a sick duck or chicken I would do it.

Definitely not weird! I use to clean everything everyday, but I've gotten a little lazy over the years You are what every duck owners should aspire to! Btw I'm definitely going to try the oxine ah I've been looking for a better sanitizing solution.

Never the problem of youngins. We just have dogs, cats, chickens and ducks.

I'm still waiting/hoping for that person on here who said they would engineer the self-cleaning water bucket so I can maximize my laziness
