Cleaning cecal poop

Theory part is cecal poop attracts more attention to roosting chickens / jungle fowl because of stronger smell. Therefore cecal poop not produced at roost site. Birds coming off roost wait a little bit and some distance from roost, if they can, to produce the cecal poop in a location that will attract less attention the following night.

ohhhhhhh I think I get it now. Thanks!!

I know it's not the question you were asking about :) but might want to see about what you can do to get them to sleep inside, for safety at night.
:) thanks for caring! The coop I have is like the ones you can get from pet stores /bunnings, so the whole thing is enclosed and is where they sleep at night. So yep the are locked up! There's a ramp that goes from the wire part to the inside wooden bit but i cover the whole thing in a tarp. They sleep wherever in there.

I am going approach this very differently as have done actual research involving cecal poop. Chickens in my studies do not produce cecal poop while sleeping normally. They will produce the cecal poop at night when light levels above natural (you can see colors). Otherwise the produce only the regular turds. Therefore, they should not be depositing cecal poop on ramp unless roosting there. Upon coming off roost the chickens drift away from roost and produce their first big cecal poop of day. If confines to tight, then the ramp may be where they do it.

You can impact the regular turds by manipulating the diet. The regular turds produced by birds on typical commercially available diet formulations are on the nasty end of spectrum.
Interesting. Maybe they are doing it in the morning while they are waiting to be uncooped (it's an internal ramp). They don't wait that long! Obviously not good holderon-erers. I'll just have to learn to scrub it then though because I can't let them out any earlier.
