Cleaning chick

I have a chick that hatched two days ago. It has some egg film stuck to it's wing. It is very hard and the chick cant raise its wing. I tried soaking in warm water. It still won't come off. Should I use oil on it or something else. I'm afraid to pry too hard, might damage wing.

No, don't pry it off. I made that mistake with a piece of shell stuck to one of my Orpington chicks, and it left a permant scar that don't feather just under her hackles. You could try to put some light oil on it(vegatable based, not petrolium) and see if it softens, other wise, just hope it comes off with the baby fluff.
