I know this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find the info.
My duck eggs are GROSS. I give them clean straw daily, which they make their nest in and the eggs are always poopy. My friends chicken eggs are nice and clean.
So, what is the correct way to clean the duck eggs for storage for a week or so? I certainly cannot put them in the fridge the way I find them.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I like that. I do almost the same thing. I use water that is a little cooler than that, about 110 degrees, and I don't add soap, just a little bleach and I scrub if needed with a little plastic vegetable scrub brush. This is for eating eggs.

If I wanted to clean a hatching egg, I would use Brinsea's egg wash/incubator disinfectant solution.
