Cleaning Eggs

The thing about temperature of cleaning water to avoid drawing bacterial contamination through pores is generally-accepted information that is out there in a gazillion places. Pretty much any book etc discussing the washing of eggs will mention it.

If you want something vaguely resembling a scientific citation that mentions it, trythis

Does that help?

Raise enough chickens for long enough years and some things you know to be true from hands on, day in and day out experience. I have 20 yrs. experience. I would not mislead any of you.

MP, please know that I don't feel you're doing that. I'm just a very "prove it to me" kind of person.

Not that you can believe everything you read, especially online, but a quick Google is often useful if you're looking for reassurance about commonly-available information

Wash the poopy off your eggs. If your customers are buying more eggs than they need, advise them that fresh eggs is what your all about and not buy more than they can consume in a short amount of time. I wash every egg that is laid. Makes no sense to me to sell anything less than clean eggs.
