Cleaning Metal Waterers

Ok, if you can't use apple cider vinegar to clean metal waterers.... what can you clean them with? I'm starting to see some green stuff growing inside. . . and my finger isn't doing the job anymore. And I change the water everyday!

I spray a bit of watered down bleach and I have used apple cider vingar in it and haven't had a problem.
