My two pullets will be moving into their outside home hopefully midweek next week. I purchased a rabbit hutch on high legs a few months ago and am wondering what can I use to make sure the interior is as sanitary as possible. My mother told me to use regular chlorine bleach mixed with water and really scrub every nook and corner with a brush, rinse then spray the surfaces and let it sit over night.

The hutch was originally for rabbits and while it isn't really crusty or full of crunchy bits, it wasn't truly scrubbed out.

Should I spend some $$$ on the bacteria busting poultry sanitizing solution or go with mom's idea?
