After all the eggs are hatched what do you clean the bator out with. Anything special?

I use bleach and warm water. I read some place that you shouldn't use soap.

I scrub with plenty of water, then spray with a diluted bleach solution and let dry out in the sun. I just wipe the top off with a paper towel dampened in the same bleach solution. There are specialty incubator sanitizers you can buy from the poultry supply places, but I've never gotten around to ordering any...I'm a big bleach fan. It's the only chemical I use around the house/farm.

The instructions on mine says just to swish around some dish soap and not to scrub. Its styrofoam though so it's pretty delicate.

I combine Dawn dishwashing liquid, a weak solution of beach, hot water....soak,wipe, rinse well, dry and leave out in the sun all day..The top I just wipe with a rinsed out rag of the above combination and dry well...
