Hi,

New the forum and I have a question, I plan on cleaning the brooder every other day, but was wondering if you should sanitize it between cleanings. I'm afraid any chemical residue may have a ill effect on the chicks, or is changing the wood shaving enough.

Thanks,

I do not sanitize unless it has poo stuck all over...first week I use cloth flooring..old sheets etc...to help them grip better walking...then switch to paper towels..then at 3 weeks bedding....the only thing I do is wash the tub to get all the dust dander out....you can bleach it..just rinse really well ..I've done MANY times and never lost one yet!

Great, thanks for your advice, I'm really enjoying watching them.
