'cleaning' their beaks on the grass -- what is that?

Two of mine will jump on my shoulders after snacktime and use my shirt for their napkin. Guess I am useful for something!!

I caught one of mine in the machine shed eating a broken egg, and when I picked her up she wiped her beak off on my shirt. Not only egg yolk but greasy dirt marked me that day. I didn't think I was ever going to get the stain out.

I have some bricks around my run, it seems that is their favorite place to either clean their beaks or perhaps, 'sharpen' them.
