How long and often should I clean the chick vent?

Unless something is wrong, like diarrhea or pasty butt, the vent shouldn't require much attention.

If you are having to clean them all the time, diet or environment may need some changes/improvements.

The last chicks I brought home the feed store said to the vent and so I did and just thought that then right on top of shaving that the poop would stay on them
