I ordered a Speckled Sussex and I assumed that she would get her speckling as she got older, but at 2 days shy of 20 weeks I've resigned my self to the fact that she is not a Speckled Sussex. I would like to know what she is then, I'm thinking a brown leghorn? I would like to know if I'm right or if she is something else.

Brown Leghorn would have the classic huge white earlobes by now. I'm thinking Welsummer. Hopefully you get nice terra-cotta colored eggs from her.

Thank you guys. I am happy either way, I just wanted to know what to expect.

I agree except she doesn't appear to have yellow legs from the picture?? Does she have them in real life?
The long part of the leg is yellowish, but the feet/toes part are grey and have tiny tufts of grey feathers in between the toes.

She's the middle hen, her legs are kind of two tone.
