Has anyone done clicker training with their chickens or quail? How did it go? What methods did you use?
I am thinking about raising either Quail or Chickens this spring. I plan to delve into clicker training and just see how it goes! I am not sure if I should do quail or chickens though... and I am not sure how it would go... So I am here to see if any of you have!

May be something to try. I don’t know how well it would work though.

Start with chickens. They’re easier than Quail but also a lot more fun.

I am clicker training chickens at work! And regularly train cats and dogs with clickers. They are super smart and intuitive. As long as your technique is good, they’re really able to learn anything you think up! Start with just associating the click with the reward and try to use a reward that is extra special but still nutritious. I use dried mealworms, shrimp, and black soldier fly larva. Also try offering the treats in a little cup (measuring cup works well) instead of your hands.

I made the mistake of working with my hands initially and inadvertently encouraged them to peck at my fingers oops!
