Clint Eastwood Had Frostbite

My favorite rooster
Last winter my Dominique rooster's comb got frostbite on it
It healed up after a few weeks in isolation
Now it has a shin to it instead of the dull skin.
The hens will not leave it alone
They peck at it untill it bleeds, I take him out untill that heals, and then put him back in,only to be tortured again.
Any suggestions ????

I was thinking of putting black ink on it

vaseline and hot pick on top.... stopped my hens from picking on the runt

have been putting axel grease, but it will not stay on.
