Clipping chickens wings

How high chicken can fly after having their wing feathers clipped? Please, only answer if your chickens had it clipped. I know how high chickens with unclipped can fly.

My clipped chickens can no longer sly over their six foot fence. I only clipped the escape artists, and it immediately solved the problem. I recommend both wings if you are going to do it.

Depends on the breed of chicken and what feathers you clipped.

Please see following thread where I did an experiment. Birds used were a combination of American Dominiques and dominique crosses. Intact adults can fly up maybe 10 feet. Be careful to distinguish jumping / clambering / flying. Abilities vary with age, sex, and breed (@casportpony).

Yes, there are many variables. My yearling peahen with all 20 primary flight feathers can hop/flap straight up and over 5'.
