Clipping nails.

Im a little confused. Im discussing when I should clip my 7 week old blue waynadotte, Raspberry’s nails. They’ve gotten extremely long and sharp. My grandma has said that you clip chicks nails around 5 weeks but my uncle says when they turn one month. Or do I not even need to worry about clipping nails? I need help to know a specific age to clip my chicks nails or if I should at all. It’ll help me a lot! I wanna keep my baby healthy.

Clip em when they are sharp if you want to. No science to it.

Really no need to clip nails in most cases. Provide things like rocks and bricks in the run area so the chickens can whittle their beaks and nails themselves.

The only chickens that I ever need to clip nails on are my silkies.
