clipping wing feathers

How often should this be done to keep them from flying? They are getting out of the run and disappearing and I dont want to spend the $$ for netting, thx

We have to clip ours every 3 to 6 months. we do it at night when they are roosting. One with a flashlight and one with the scissors. Goes really quick that way.

We only did ours last week and the birds were perfectly fine. We are aiming to do it every 4 months or so.
