Here is our new one we are still doing the finish work, and are fencing it this week.

Our inspector, the chickens would check out what we had done constantly.

This design is from a shed book my wife bought, but it has been altered some. We used solid beams instead of composite of 2x10 and plywood that the plans called for. The roof pitches are a little steeper than the plan, and the solarium window uses double pain windows that were taken out of the vinyl frames. Right now we have a 2 1/2' sliding window side panel and a 3 1/2' sliding window both still in the vinyl for the doors, we are going to take the glass out of the vinyl and frame it in wood. The dimensions are 10'x10' and it is 12' tall, we used banister railing for the roost and are playing with 18" plastic planters on side for the nesting boxes.

We are going with a 6' high welded wire fence that should be going up this week that will be around 55'x55'.

Depends on how good your pictures and information are and if you have plans, etc. but usually during construction is pretty important.

Either way you should still create a page with pics and info to submit it so it can be added to the BYC Coop Design section so others can learn from your design.

"pretty" does't make a coop design win. Good use of materials, great pictures and a great write up make the difference.
