She must be a mix of Orpington since she has that white barring, but I've never raised buff orpintons, so I wouldn't know.![]()

Breed: "Buff" Orphington
Category: Chick
Name: Goldenfeather
[rule] Here is a picture of my recent "Buff" Orphington chick. Goldenfeather is 7 weeks old now and certainly a little pullet. But even if she turns into a he, I will keep her. The breeder I bought her from hatched her from a Buff or White hen and Buff rooster, but somehow this little girl is all different! I was told the white hens have only hatched buff chicks, but I have seen their stock hatch a single black chick. Any suggestions on the genetics? Also, OMG I can't wait to see her as a big fluffy hen in another month or two!
Your rooster needs en elegant name like Kingsley, Sebastian, King, Knight, etc. Augustine is also a good name for your rooster, it mean Majestic and Dignity. lolI was thinking maybe Speckle, but it doesn't seem fancy enough!
I also need a name for my buttercup hen... she's just as fancy looking. I've thought of tons of names for the little Campine, but none seem to "click". *sigh* poor chickens haven't had any names and they're already 2 years old!Originally posted by chickenlover200
