Do they still do the market on the battery? Its been 20+ years since I was there.

I didn't even make it to the Battery!! We got out the time share thingie at about 1:45 then rushed to catch a trolley to the Aquarium so that we could catch the boat to Fort Sumpter. The trolley operators need to learn how to operate their hydrolic lifts!! We have a bike trailer/stroller that we use for Spook when we are out for a long period of time and doing lots of walking. She tore her ACL a few years back in addition to the arthritis she has in her foot, hip and back. So basicly my Service Dog is also handicapped, lol. First one wanted to argue, next one threw a hissy fit that we were holding her up, and I thought DH was gonna deck the last one. Trust me, CARTA is gonna hear from me.

Loved the fort. After we got back we wandered around the square where they had a fall thingie going on. We then wandered on to find something to eat. A.W. Shucks was an AWESOME resteraunt!! Not only did they have a "dog patio"(seems to be a real dog friendly town) they had some of the best seafood I've eaten and I have eaten a lot!!

The next day we wandered over the BIG bridge and toured the USS Yorktown and the Medal of Honor Museum. If you can, go! Having a brain fart right now and can't remember the name of the other fort we visited on Sullivan Island.

Was a great weekend. We got in around 6 on Friday and just went and found a place to eat. DD Peckers has great wings and fried mushrooms!! Saturday it was bright and sunny just shy of 80* Though Sunday was a bit cooler it was still a pretty day.

DH is talking about going again.

ETA--Got strips today from MarlinChaser, Ginbart, and Cluckin'!!

Marlin, I didn't realize you were from Elkton. I used to go camping at Elk Neck State Park with my folks when I was a kid. Is it still "primative" or have they built it up? We used to walk around at night and "spot" deer with flash lights. I walked around a patch of trees one night and came face to face with a 12 point buck!!

Coyote, how many more do you need to get?

It's funny, all we needed to do was cut fabric but we are all so busy we don't have the time to do it. I think we should all take one hour a day for our selfs.

Well now I need to go bleed a turkey out, like that's something I want to do.

Yeah, been there a couple times myself, most times stop short of Elk Neck, and go to Camp Rodney, the Boyscout Camp about 3 miles short of Elkneck. They have built it up a little bit(the park, and the road out to it) They now have cabins and trailer hookups, but still have quit a bit of primative left. They have expanded the beach area, and put up pavilions, and snack shop. They have some big bucks out there, lots of deer everywhere in the area.

I got my fabric, before all 12 spots were filled, but since all I had to do was wash/iron/cut there was no rush, so I ended up doing it the night before they had to be mailed.

Get ready! I'm planning another strip swap starting in January. Red and White. Red on White or White on Red. That's it the only 2 colors. Perfect for a Valentine's day quilt I'll put more info up soon. You'll have until mid-January to get your strips in to me. This is just to give you the heads up if you want in.
