I have this little Serama rooster that i got from a local lady that breeds & shows. I got him as a chick because he didnt fit into her color/breeding program. I know she places well with her birds (she's got ribbons out the wazzoo!!) BUT, he has never been shown OR bred to another Serama. Yukon will be a year old in March, i think.
I know nothing really about this breed, but I DO know that he is just BEAUTIFUL! amazingly sweet and is great with the ladies.
I've tried to find a home here for him but have had no luck at all. just wanna-be breeders with nasty, gross, filthy, UNACCEPTABLE set-ups for their birds. I do understand that chickens are dirty but c'mon, even a cage is better than some of the set-ups these people had.
anyway... here is what I would like to see him have at his new home, if he finds one here....
1. Someone to spoil him (he's my baby & regularly comes inside!)
2. his own ladies (to make *lovely* babies with!)
3. A nice, warm, clean coop (i'm sure you guys know what i mean by clean, it IS a chicken coop)
4. Plenty of room to stretch, flap & wiggle his wings.
5. A LONG, HEALTHY life!!
He free ranges a lot here but that's no a requirement, I understand that some dont have as much room as i do here for the birds. He hangs out quietly inside and doesnt mind being carried. He's also worn a 'chicken coat' before... when he was having issues adjusting to the colder weather.
I just ask that you pay shipping and shipping expenses. I also would like to see pics of his new home & some info about your plans for him & to see pictures of his babies later on!! or if he's shown, let me know how he places (if he does)..he might not be mine anymore but i'll still be proud!!
Make me an offer of what you think he's worth.
This was during his "baby molt", that's why the odd tail.
